Putting My Experience
to Work

My name is Kayla Parker. I am a 4th generation Amador County resident, born and raised. I attended Pine Grove Elementary, Jackson Junior High, and I graduated from Amador High school in 2009. I went to college and earned my Master's in Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. During this time, I was a substitute teacher for the district, and upon completion, I became a full time teacher, starting in Calaveras county, and then transferring back home to Amador. I have taught 1-6th grade, at multiple elementary and junior high campuses.

I am running for school board to ensure that our students and their families get the highest quality of education and services, clean, safe and properly maintained facilities,  and that our district becomes transparent and fiscally responsible. I believe that my education, experience as a teacher in our district, and now my current role as a parent, allows me to see important issues from many perspectives, and makes me the best candidate to serve my constituents
